JURASSIC WORLD ★★★★

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard battle new, improved and very badly behaved dinosaurs in a fantastic reboot of the prehistoric predator series. When a new dino theme park opens, it seems that no-one’s learnt any lessons at all from what happened at the first one.

LONDON ROAD ★★★★

Transferring from the National Theatre stage to the big screen, this singular work is a powerful musical about the real-life case of serial murderer Steve Wright, who killed six women in Ipswich. But the focus here is on the ordinary men and women whose lives are affected by the threat on their streets.

THE LOOK OF SILENCE ★★★★

Joshua Oppenheimer’s superb follow-up to his extraordinary 2012 documentary The Act of Killing also looks at the Indonesian genocide of the 1960s – but this time from the point of view of the victims, rather than the perpetrators.
