A brand-new Doctor Who Festival will take place in London this November, it has been announced, with current Doctor Peter Capaldi and showrunner Steven Moffat slated to attend.
Taking place on the 13th, 14th and 15th November the festival will also include interactive elements, fan quizzes, props from series 8 and 9 and much more. Tickets will be available from tomorrow (5th June) at 10am.
Speaking about the convention, Peter Capaldi said: “If having the world’s favourite Time Lord back on screen every week isn’t enough for you (and it’s not for me) then The Doctor Who Festival in London is the place to be.”
“I’ll be heading there in November to join the fun and if it’s anything like the 50th anniversary event, then prepare yourself for total Time Lord mania.”
Showrunner Steven Moffat added: “I can’t believe we’re going to give away our secrets! This is the closest you could possibly get to finding out what happens on set and how this magical show is put together.”
According to the official release, attractions at the festival will include photos on key Doctor Who sets, theatre workshops with writers and cast members, costume and props exhibitions, cosplaying competitions, photo opportunities with the cast and all the merchandise a Whovian could want.
Standard tickets will cost £65 (£30 for children), with deluxe ‘Tardis’ tickets available for £110 that offer special backstage access, priority seating and goody bags.
