It’s déjà vu all over again in new but eerily familiar Terminator Genisys clip

"Come with me if you want to live!" shouts Emilia Clarke's Sarah Connor - and that's not the only thing Terminator fans will find familiar about this new scene...

Fans of the Terminator franchise will experience a strong sense of déjà vu when they watch the latest clip from Terminator Genisys.

It recreates the scene from the original movie in which resistance fighter Kyle Reese is hiding in a store from the cyborg that’s pursuing him while simultaneously helping himself to some cool new threads (the moment where he’s seen pulling on his trainers inside the photo booth is practically identical to the shot in the first film).

There are still some significant differences, though. This time Kyle is being chased not by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 Terminator but by the advanced T-1000 model – and, of course, the cast has changed.

Kyle is played by Jai Courtney, while the now tooled-up Sarah Connor – who bursts dramatically on to the scene to save him – is Emilia Clarke, best known as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones.

“Come with me if you want to live!” she shouts at him. Some things never change, eh?

Terminator Genisys is in UK cinemas 2nd July

Why hasn’t Matt Smith been in any of the Terminator: Genysis trailers?
