Chris Pratt plays an American hero by teaching his two-year-old son the Pledge of Allegiance

The Jurassic World star makes a cute but very patriotic video that cynical Brits may find confusing...

Chris Pratt has taught his two-year-old son the Pledge of Allegiance – and it’s adorable.

But it also reminds us that while the actor may be known for his dry humour and sarcasm, when it comes to being an American, he’s very serious indeed.

In the video below, the Jurassic World star and his son are standing in front of a US flag, reciting the all-important Pledge.

For lots of Americans, this is just a heart-warming video, but for many Brits, it’s as odd as Benedict Cumberbatch filming himself reciting God Save the Queen in front of a British flag on his front lawn. (He hasn’t done, this by the way. As far as we know.)

Pratt wrote, “meant to post this on #MemorialDay but I was in China and my phone wasn’t working. I’m proud to be American. I’m blessed to get to travel the world! #IPledgeAllegiance”

Well, with American heroism like that, Pratt should have no issues fighting off those dinosaurs…
