Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez to appear on Doctor Who panel at San Diego Comic-Con

The Twelfth Doctor described himself as "thrilled" to be making his first appearance at the prestigious convention

Peter Capaldi says he is “thrilled” to be making his inaugural appearance at the “fabled kingdom” of San Diego Comic-Con following the announcement that a Doctor Who panel will form part of this year’s annual convention.

Alongside Capaldi in the prestigious Hall H will be Jenna Coleman, aka the Doctor’s companion Clara, Michelle Gomez, who plays the Time Lord’s arch-enemy Missy, showrunner Steven Moffat and executive producer Brian Minchin.

“Tales of San Diego Comic-Con are told in awe on every set around the known fantasy/sci-fi production world,” said Capaldi. “It’s become a fabled kingdom. One I am thrilled to find myself heading for. And to appear in the legendary Hall H, is a further twist to the cosplay and comic madness I may never recover from.”

The Doctor Who session will take place on Thursday 9 July, the opening day of the four-day US event.
