EastEnders has finally revealed the face of the oft-mentioned but never-actually-seen Fat Elvis.
The dodgy dealer, who has supplied Mo Harris (Laila Morse) with her knock-off merchandise for over a decade, made his first appearance during a party at the Queen Vic held for exiting Albert Square residents Kat and Alfie. In a surprise turn of events, it also transpired that Mo had got engaged to her long-standing business contact – and had the ring to prove it!
Fat Elvis is played by Shenton Dixon, a performer described on his own website as a “multi-tribute artist” for Barry White, Stevie Wonder, George Benson and Louis Armstrong. For those who thought he looked familiar, Shenton has actually appeared on BBC1 before when he went head to head with his own brother Bizzi during the blind auditions on The Voice last year.

As to whether we’ll see the character again, an insider at EastEnders said to RadioTimes.com: “Everyone on the show was really excited to finally put a face to the name of Fat Elvis. It’s a one-off appearance for now, but who knows what could happen in the future…”
