TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND ★★★★

This sci-fi fantasy adventure is a total blast, as inventor George Clooney and teen science whizz Britt Robertson travel to another mind-blowing dimension to save the Earth’s future.

POLTERGEIST ★★★

Better than your average remake, this reworking of the creepy 1982 shocker has plenty of familiar frights, but gives them a new twist. Sam Rockwell is especially good as the suburban dad struggling with a supernatural enemy.

A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT ★★★★

Who’d have a thought that a low-budget, black-and-white, Iranian vampire horror movie would be so damn good? A chador-clad vamp wreaks havoc in a dead-beat town, in a film that’s a true original and totally unforgettable.

MOOMINS ON THE RIVIERA ★★★

After a wait of only 70 years, the oddball Finnish creatures finally make it to the movies. It’s a fun tale with a positive message, as the Moomins get swept up in the glamour of the South of France, only to realise that what’s on the surface isn’t always the same as what lies beneath.
