Jurassic World teaser pays tribute to Richard Attenborough’s John Hammond

The late actor's iconic Jurassic Park character narrates the extended sneak peek at the new film...

Over two decades after he starred in the original Jurassic Park, the late Richard Attenborough returns in a trailer for much-anticipated sequel Jurassic World. Attenborough died in August 2014 at the age of 90, but his memorable narration as park founder John Hammond has been laid over the new teaser in a rather moving tribute…

Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, the new film takes us to a dinosaur theme park that’s feeling the pinch after opening ten years previously. With visitor rates declining and corporate interests wagging their fingers, a new attraction (the deadly Indominous Rex) is created to re-spark visitor’s interest.

And of course, in true Jurassic Park tradition, everything that can go wrong does, leaving Dinosaur Whisperer Chris Pratt (just go with it, the man’s on a motorbike leading a velociraptor army) to save the day.

Attenborough’s John Hammond voiceover takes us right back to the early 1990s and sets an exciting and nostalgic tone for our return to Isla Nubar.

Here’s hoping Chris and his dino army can make the same Jurassic mark.

Jurassic World is released in UK cinemas on 11th June
