EastEnders spoilers: will Dot be found guilty or not guilty of murder?

Dot faces trial for the killing of son Nick next month

Dot Branning (June Brown) is to head to court early next month to face trial for the murder of evil Nick Cotton.

The courtroom drama begins on Friday 8 May with the Brannings all present and correct in order to support Dot. But the day gets off to a bad start when first Keeble and then a reluctant Stacey take to the witness box to give evidence. Will Dot be found guilty or not guilty of murdering her son?

These new pictures showing Dot in court follow the announcement made last Friday that William Gaunt – star of The Champions and No Place Like Home – will preside as Judge St John Redmond, while former Bugs star Jaye Griffiths will grill Dot as prosecuting lawyer Helen Stritch.

Fighting Dot’s corner is Adrian Quinlan (played by ex-Casualty star Ben Turner), while Ritchie Scott (Sian Webber) returns as Phil’s long-running brief after he seeks her help in freeing Dot.
