First full clip from Jurassic World doesn’t have any dinosaurs in it

On the plus side, Chris Pratt does explain how you can tame your own velociraptor

We all know why you watch Jurassic Park films: the people. Forget the towering, cold-blooded killing machines, let’s talk about past relationships and why you should never wear board shorts on a date.

The first full clip from Jurassic World – the barmy follow-up to the classic franchise – introduces Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) the laid-back velociraptor trainer and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the uptight commercial geneticist/theme park operations manager. They have history.

Pratt, seen here hanging out with his buddies…

…says the word “bungalow” and explains that “I don’t control the raptors, it’s based on mutual respect.” Sounds like a perfect marriage, but a high-risk strategy for a zoo.

Still, don’t expect this light-hearted flirty banter to last the entire movie. That ‘asset’ they’re talking about is the terrifying Indominus Rex.

Jurassic World is released in UK cinemas on 12th June
