Cara Delevingne takes centre stage in first poster for John Green’s Paper Towns

The supermodel stars in her first leading role, opposite The Fault in Our Stars' Nat Wolff

International supermodel Cara Delevingne takes centre stage in the first poster for the upcoming adaptation of John Green’s young adult bestseller Paper Towns.

The 22-year-old, who has walked the catwalk for Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Topshop, can be seen, her long locks waving in the wind, alongside co-star Nat Wolff in the first look at the film.

Paper Towns will see Delevingne play mysterious teenager Margo Roth Spiegelman. The film follows neighbours and childhood friends Margo and Quentin Jacobsen (Wolff) who drift apart until one night Margo recruits Q for a night of revenge and rebellion. The next day she disappears and Q is left to find clues as to what’s happened to her.

Author John Green tweeted the poster, along with a date the film is expected to hit cinemas and some info on the movie’s first trailer…

This isn’t Delevingne’s first foray into the world of acting. Her film debut in Anna Karenina (2012) saw her sharing the screen with Jude Law and Keira Knightley, and she’s since gone on to star in upcoming films The Face of an Angel, London Fields, Kids in Love, Tulip Fever and Pan as well as last year’s Sky Arts drama Timeless.

Wolff appeared in the adaptation of another of Green’s novels The Fault in Our Stars last year. A third novel, Looking for Alaska, is also set for the cinema.
