We had a hilarious introduction to Pixar’s Amy Poehler-fronted offering Inside Out last December and now a new trailer for the film reveals that there’s a lot more to the movie than we first thought.

Inside Out takes us inside the minds of an American family and reveals that sugar and spice and all things nice aren’t the only things little girls are made of.

Take Riley here for example.

The majority of Inside Out takes place inside her mind, as she struggles to come to terms with her family’s big move to San Francisco.

Poehler stars as Joy, just one of the many emotions that live inside Riley’s head. She shares the little girl’s headspace with Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Anger (Lewis Black) and Fear (Bill Hader).

They all live in relative harmony until a row over Riley’s recollections send Joy and Sadness down the tubes to her long term memory.

With her emotions thrown totally out of sync, how on earth will Riley deal with everything life throws at her? And will Joy and Sadness ever find the way home to her head?

We’ll be in a glass case of emotion all summer.
