STILL ALICE ★★★

Julianne Moore deservedly won an Oscar for her portrayal of a woman suffering from early-onset Alzheimers, but the rest of the film, while affecting, isn’t quite in the same league.

CHAPPIE ★★★

District 9 and Elysium director Neill Blomkamp has signed on to do the next Alien movie. Before that, here’s his South Africa-set story of a law enforcement robot forced to turn to a life of crime.

KILL THE MESSENGER ★★★

Based on a true story, this stars Jeremy Renner as a journalist who discovers the CIA’s role in the 1980s crack epidemic in Los Angeles, but faces danger when he tries to expose the truth.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS ★★

Vince Vaughn does his same old schtick in this sub-Hangover comedy about three corporate Americans on a European business trip.
