Gene Hunt and Alex Drake (Ashes to Ashes)

The crime-fighting pair burned many a crook during their time on BBC’s Ashes to Ashes.

However, it was the fire that raged between them that sparked many a fanfic and made them a top pick for Jennifer Ings. She took to Facebook to tell us that they deserved their moment in the sun.

John and Aeryn (Farscape)

The astronaut and the peacekeeper pilot did their best to protect the galaxy in the Aussie sci-fi drama, winning viewers’ hearts and minds while they were at it. They teased us with a kiss in The Flax but it took them long enough to turn that tension into an actual bond, and even a baby, in wrap up miniseries The Peacekeeper Wars.
