One might think actor’s wives would get a little miffed when their husbands are working with attractive co-stars, but Will Smith says Jada Pinkett Smith approaches things a little differently.
After finding out that The Wolf of Wall Street’s Margot Robbie, 24, would be teaming up with her hubby for new con artist flick Focus, Will reveals Jada said: “You better get in the gym!”
“She looked at Margot and she said, ‘Do not embarrass me on camera with that girl, get yourself together’,” Smith laughs while promoting their new film in London today.
Smith, 46, admits it “gets more and more difficult” to get in shape for film roles.
“I used to be able to eat whatever I want and then in six weeks be able to get into any shape I wanted to get into. That’s not the case anymore – we’re around the 12 or 14 week mandatory training to do anything.”
But, luckily, hitting the gym isn’t a bore for Smith.
“I love it. I enjoy the discipline of it. For me, working on your body is the beginning of everything; your mind starts to work better, you’re a better husband, father, friend and life is just better when you care for your body at the highest level.”
Focus will be released in the UK on 27th February
