In the middle of Leicester Square for the premiere of new con artist flick Focus, star Will Smith launched into a sing-along of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme tune.
He needed only say “In West Philadelphia born and raised…” and the excited crowd sprung into action. In fact, Smith had to tell everyone to stop singing as they were more than ready to launch into the entire song.
Yet one person wasn’t singing along; Smith’s co-star Margot Robbie. Why, you may ask? Because she hasn’t seen a single episode. Not a singleepisode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
There were actual gasps from around Leicester Square. Gasps.
In fact, the former Neighbours actress admits that while starring alongside Smith is brilliant because of how funny he is, the worst thing is how “bad” he makes her feel that she doesn’t know the song.
It’s safe to say you’ve got some homework to do, Ms Robbie.
Once inside the cinema, the duo introduced the film to countless screens filled with journalists. Smith was dishing out high fives and we were even treated to a lesson on being a con artist from one of the advisors on the film. Lesson of the day? Putting your folding wallet in your pocket upside down (ie. flaps facing upwards) makes it harder to steal. Don’t say we’ve never taught you anything.
