James Bond: Daniel Craig takes on a mountain in first peak of Spectre

How do you make a film bigger and better than Skyfall? Why, with 007 Daniel Craig atop an Austrian alp...

Daniel Craig, a cool pair of shades, a gun, a mountain… Yes, the first sneak-peek (and peak) of upcoming James Bond film Spectre has been released.

Craig is in Austria. Not to compete in Channel 4’s reality show The Jump beause reality star Joey Essex has already run off with the cow bell prize. No, Craig’s shooting a high-speed car chase of epic proportions: around a slippery mountain. It’s going to be “one of the major action sequences of the movie”, associate producer Gregg Wilson promises. “The jewel in the crown, so to speak.”

The filmmakers want to go bigger and better than predecessor Skyfall, and say putting Bond on top of the world is a good way to start.

Craig and co are having to battle with snow storms, the freezing weather and differing altitudes. For fellow star Dave Bautista, it’s his “first time ever” on a mountain.
