10. The Fifth Doctor’s title sequence (1982-84)

This opening sequence has a lot of similarities to its Tom Baker predecessor (see previous page), but gets extra points for having a bit of fun with Peter Davison’s head (as one does).

This can’t help but seem very 90s, with plenty of pounding sound effects complementing the film’s more bombastic cinema background. No McGann face either – the next time the Doctor appeared in the credits would be a few incarnations later.
