Brave enough for I’m A Celebrity? New theme park attraction will test your skills

Get a taste of the ITV show as Thorpe Park announces world’s first I’m A Celeb experience

Watched I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and always thought you’d be up for the challenge? Bemoaned the fact that only celebrities ever get the chance to go in and face those critter-filled Bushtucker Trials? Well, worry no more; Thorpe Park is opening its very own I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! attraction.

A welcome message from Ant and Dec will kick things off before you’re faced with various Bushtucker Trials, during which you have to collect those familiar gold stars.

Among the bunch is Holey Moley – yep the one where you have to put your hands in goodness knows what – and the Chamber of Horrors which sees you risk a drenching by slippery and slimy surprises. Perhaps leave your fancy jacket at home…

Of course you’re not going to find yourself actually covered in bugs. With no Medic Bob on hand to rescue you that’d just be silly wouldn’t it? But there will be multi-sensory ‘leg ticklers’ to make you feel like you’re actually covered in bugs. We can’t get the image of a disguised Ant and Dec poking you with a feather duster out of our heads, but we bargain it’s much more high-tech than that.

The best news is that you also get to have a go at the Celebrity Cylcone bit – whether you pop your pants over your trousers superhero-style to get totally into character is entirely up to you – with 56mph winds and water jets all working to hinder your journey to the winner’s exit.

To round it out – once you’ve been crowned King or Queen of course – you can then dive into some tasty treats at the Bush BBQ, including adding a dollop of meal worm mayo to your meal. Yum.

The attraction opens on Friday 27th March and you can find out more here.
