Baftas 2015: Radio Times on the red carpet

We spy Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and many more at last night's starry Royal Opera House ceremony

The Baftas may be over with Eddie Redmayne, Julianne Moore and Boyhood triumphant, but never fear – now you can relive the night’s excitement with our celeb-laden red carpet video, complete with winners, runners-up and anyone with enough showbiz kudos to shimmy into a tux and tread the scarlet rug.

Advertisement was out in force at last night’s awards, and managed to chat to some of the victors – including Whiplash’s JK Simmons, The Lego Movie’s Phil Lord and Chris Miller and The Theory of Everything’s director James Marsh – but also got the chance to catch up with some of the other stars and nominees.

As it turns out Imelda Staunton has pride for Pride, Rene Russo didn’t even know when Bafta nominations were and The Lego Movie guys found Kensington Palace oddly homely – though presumably not quite blocky enough for their architectural tastes. We even managed to squeeze in a look at messers Cumberbatch, Hiddleston and Beckham because we’re just that good to you.

Surprised at the lack of goosebumps? They put a roof on the red carpet this time. Presumably sense prevailed, someone gave in and everyone finally accepted that they were holding these awards in a UK winter, not sunny LA. Good for you, Bafta – freezing stars, fans and journalists give you thanks alike.
