Last night’s star-studded ceremony saw Spider-Man and Juno actor JK Simmons scoop the best supporting actor award – and RadioTimes.com was there on the red carpet to talk to him before his big victory.
Simmons shrugged off praise for his role, saying the film’s success was down to the script written by young first-time director Damien Chazelle.
“It’s a brilliant piece of work,” the actor said. “I know Miles [Teller, his co-star] and myself, certainly knew all we had to do was not screw it up.”

Simmons will next be seen in King Kong prequel Skull Island alongside Tom Hiddleston, a project which he says he is “very excited” about.
“The director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts is another really, really brilliant young director that I’m excited to be working with.”
