See all of Jeffrey Tambor's Transparent as Amazon celebrates Golden Globes wins with free streaming

Amazon Original Series Transparent won big at the Golden Globes this year, taking home the prize for Best Musical or Comedy Series, as well as its star Jeffrey Tambor winning Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series. So what’s the best way to celebrate that? Why, make the series free for everyone of course.

Yes, today you can watch all ten episodes of the novelistic series – usually only available to subscribers – for free via the Amazon Prime Instant Video app, on mobile devices, connected devices or on the website. You don’t have to have a membership and you’ve got until 11:59pm to indulge.

The series follows Tambor (Arrested Development) as Maura, a transgender woman who has spent her life as Mort, the Pfefferman family patriarch, struggling to open up about her true identity.

Eldest daughter Sarah (Amy Landecker) is trapped in a marriage while obsessing about a former lover, son Josh (Jay Duplass) is in the midst of a mid-life crisis and youngest Ali (Gaby Hoffman) isn’t one for taking on any responsibility. It also stars Judith Light of Dallas fame.

“There are many secrets in that family,” Tambor says, “And it just sets everybody into motion.”

Amazon has already given a second series the green light. It’s founder and CEO Jeff Bezos saying the team took a risk with Transparent “and it paid off”.

“We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved in the making of Transparent,” he adds.
