EastEnders stars Barbara Windsor and Pam St Clement reunited in Gogglebox-style spin-off

The pair will look back at Peggy and Pat's greatest moments for a BBC iPlayer special

Walford icons Barbara Windsor and Pam St Clement will be sharing the screen again in order to look back at Peggy and Pat’s greatest moments on EastEnders.

The BBC iPlayer series – in which the stars of the BBC1 soap take a trip down memory lane – begins on Tuesday 27th January, with Windsor and St Clement set to star alongside the likes of Adam Woodyatt, Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie.

Barbara Windsor – who is also set to reprise the role of Peggy Mitchell for an episode of EastEnders during its 30th anniversary week in February – said: “I had such great fun filming this with Pam. At times we completely forgot we were being filmed and we got terribly carried away, in fact we got quite outrageous! It was such a lovely afternoon, we giggled for hours. In fact we didn’t want it to finish.”

Pam St Clement – who last appeared as a spectral version of Pat for a Children in Need special in November 2014 – added: “What fun – not only catching up and chatting with Babs but being surrounded by friends and crew from the EastEnders production team – it was like coming home!”

The Gogglebox-style spin-off will begin next week, with two episodes launching every seven days in the run-up to EastEnders’s anniversary.
