Why is everyone talking about The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco?

Because she didn't get a nose job and she's not a feminist...

Who is the lady with the golden antlers? One of TV’s highest-paid actresses: Kaley Cuoco

Better known as: Penny from hugely successful sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Waitress and wannabe actress Penny lives next door to Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, the socially inept but talented physicists. Hence the golden antlers: one of her many awards.

What’s all the fuss about? Cuoco has been trending on Twitter and Facebook in the last couple of days for allegedly getting a nose job, and for saying she is not a feminist and she likes to serve her husband.

Does an alleged nose job hurt?

Yes, because it still involved an operation: just not that one. Rumours began that Cuoco got a nose job after she posted this hospital selfie (because why not?)

The 29-year-old slammed rumours that she’d had cosmetic surgery, explaining that she had actually undergone sinus surgery.

“For those haters out there who are gonna hate hate hate [That’s a Taylor Swift lyric from Shake it Off, by the way] no matter what, let me inform you that I have not been able to breath through my nose like a normal human being in years.”

What about this not-being-a-feminist thing — more ugly, unfounded speculation?

Sadly not.

When asked if she considers herself a feminist in an interview for US women’s magazine Redbook, Cuoco replied:

“Is it bad if I say no?

“I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality.  I cook for Ryan [her husband] five nights a week: it makes me feel like a housewife; I love that. I know it sounds old fashioned but I love the idea of women taking care of their men.”

Gosh, how 1950s.

You’re not alone in thinking that, which is why she’s trending: many tweeters thinks it is bad she said no, very bad…
