The X Factor 2014 finalists pick their winner’s singles

Ben Haenow and Fleur East choose the same OneRepublic track while Andrea Faustini turns to Whitney Houston for the song that'll be released upon winning

Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini have revealed the songs they’ll release if they win this year’s contest.

Mel B’s finalist Andrea Faustini is turning to the track Simon Cowell himself has highlighted as the Italian diva’s performance of the series: Whitney Houston’s I Didn’t Know My Own Strength. It’s the song that earned Andrea a seat during the Six Chair Challenge and had judges Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in tears.

Meanwhile, Simon’s ‘Overs’ finalists Fleur East and Ben Haenow have both opted to cover OneRepublic’s Something I Need.

All three acts will perform their single during this weekend’s nail-biting final at Wembley Arena. Once a winner is crowned, their track will be released in time to join the battle for this year’s Christmas Number One.

As well as singing with special guests Take That and the yet-to-be-revealed artists for their duets, each finalist will also perform their ‘song of the series’. Fleur, who has opted to re-do that Uptown Funk set, which saw her top the iTunes chart, says she’s “under a lot of pressure”.

“I’ve got to beat my last performance,” she insisted during an interview on This Morning early today.

“We’ve all got our head in the game now,” added Ben.
