Radio 1’s Breakfast Show had a rather special guest this morning: the one and only Orlando Bloom, aka blond bombshell Legolas the Elf.

The 37-year-old British actor was there to promote the latest, and last, film in the Middle Earth franchise, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. And he went above and beyond his duties, even singing along to techno Lord of the Rings spoof track They’re Taking the Hobbits to Isengard.

It seems host Nick Grimshaw had been plotting the little sing-a-long for a while. He tweeted that it was stuck in his head last night.

And now, Grimmers’ plans complete, there’s officially a bromance brewing…

Twitter is well and truly on board with entertainment’s newest duo – or at least just as enamoured with the star as Grimshaw is…

Peter Jackson must be kicking himself for not choosing the track as The Hobbit theme tune…
