It’s been a good year for Shaun the Sheep. First, the claymated Aardman character was voted best-loved BBC children’s character by Radio Times readers – and now he’s hitting the big screen, with the first full trailer released this week.
Shaun the Sheep first appeared in 1995 short film Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave before getting his own spin-off TV series in 2007 (and it’s own spin-off, Timmy Time, after that). His first cinema outing will see the woolly hero lead his flock to the big city to save their farmer, who is swept away from the farm due to Shaun’s antics.
The new footage shows Shaun and company in disguise and avoiding the clutches of a villainous animal-catcher, with shenanigans aplenty as they try to restore the status quo. If you watch closely, you might even be able to spot Radio Times competition winner Jennie King, who scored the chance to have her likeness in the movie earlier this year.
You can watch the trailer below.
Shaun the Sheep will be released from the 6th February 2015
