Horrible Bosses 2 is a slapstick comedy about a group of misguided guys who get caught up in criminal activities and find themselves in way over their heads. (Again. Horrible Bosses 1 was along very similar lines.)
It’s wacky, silly and occasionally pretty gross, but new star Chris Pine, who lists Star Trek Into Darkness, Rise of the Guardians and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit on his screen CV, says he found the whole experience “really educational.”
Pine plays Rex Hanson, the son of a powerful businessman, who returning characters Nick, Dale and Kurt (Bateman, Day and Sudeikis) plot to kidnap in order to save their failing business. And he says his scenes with “the guys” taught him a lot about comedy.
“This is an out-and-out glossy studio comedy and I enjoyed it,” Pine says. “I found working with the guys really educational, on how to make a scene click and fire, the kind of preparation and set up it takes to go off and do the improv. I really enjoyed it.”
