EastEnders spoilers: shock unsent message on Lucy’s mobile phone to cause trauma for Ian

The murdered girl’s dad looks set to get a surprise in scenes to be shown next week

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is to be left in a state of shock after reading an unsent text message found on his daughter Lucy’s mobile phone.

The mobile – which is to be dug up at the allotment by Denise tonight (24th November) – will end up deepening the mystery into Lucy’s murder during scenes to be shown next week.

In the episode to be shown on Monday 1 December, a downbeat Ian will be seen telling Jane (Laurie Brett) that he feels as though he never really knew Lucy at all and that she hated him.

Ian’s anguish stems from the argument he had with Lucy in the run-up to her death when he confronted her about the cocaine that was discovered in her music box.

Jane, though, is determined to show Ian that this one fall-out didn’t colour the entire relationship he had with his daughter. Deciding to prove how much Ian meant to Lucy, she starts to read Lucy’s text messages aloud.

However, while scrolling through, she stumbles upon an unsent message and Ian is shocked when he sees exactly who the message was meant for…
