After the sudden departure of TOWIE’s Gemma Collins from this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! attention has turned to the two celebrities rumoured to be joining the now nine campmates.
Former Tory Cabinet Minister Edwina Currie has been heavily tipped to join the jungle fun as one of the late arrivals and now it looks like former X Factor star Jake Quickenden could be heading in too.
The 26-year-old, who was the fifth act to be voted out of this year’s singing contest, has been spotted in Queensland Australia in a hotel on the Gold Coast. Yes, you guessed it, right near base camp where the current campmates – including broadcaster Michael Buerk and rapper Tinchy Stryder – are getting settled in.
Jake’s tweets have been adding fuel to the fire, with his latest post this morning greeting his followers as “campers”.

Even a tweet about being hungry was adorned with a picture of a bug.

Getting in the mood for some bushtucker already, Jake?
In fact, the day after the crooner left this year’s X Factor, Jake told RadioTimes.com that the critter-filled show is right up his street.
“I’d go to the jungle and do I’m A Celebrity… mate, I’d do anything like that. Give me a camel testicle, I’ll stick it in my mouth, I’m not bothered. I’d eat the stuff, I think it’d be great.
“At the end of the day I’m some guy from Scunthorpe who used to work at McDonalds who was then a bricklayer who played a bit of football and who’s living the dream,” he added.
Well, if there’s a willing one ITV, send them in!
