Paddington is a quintessential British story so how appropriate that the latest artwork for the bear’s forthcoming appearance in cinemas features a quintessentially British scene.
Although, Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) could do with a pair of his wellington boots as he stands in the chilly snow with Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament framed in the background.
From the producer of Harry Potter, Paddington features a star-studded cast including the likes of Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Peter Capaldi, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters and Sally Hawkins – and, based on our sneak peek at some early footage last month, promises a dose of delightful British comedy.
The film sees Paddington shipped over from darkest Peru, arriving in – you guessed it – Paddington station where he is taken in by the Brown family while he searches for a mysterious explorer.
However, it’s not long before Paddington catches the eye of an evil taxidermist (Kidman), throwing his new home – and very existence – under threat.
Paddington is released in cinemas on Friday 28th November – check out the trailer below…
