MR TURNER ★★★★★

Actor Timothy Spall and writer/director Mike Leigh are both at the absolute top of their game for this masterful biopic of British artist JMW Turner.

NIGHTCRAWLER ★★★★★

A scary and powerful modern morality tale, in which ruthless Jake Gyllenhaal makes a fortune selling candid footage of news events in California – but at what cost to his soul?

CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN ★★★

Shia LaBeouf takes a break from “art projects” and bizarre behaviour to play the lead in this fast-paced crime thriller. He’s an American abroad in Eastern Europe, whose quest for new experiences leads him to encounter a beautiful woman – and her dangerous husband.

OUIJA ★★

If you’re looking for a spooky Halloween movie then give this one a skip – it’s about as scary as a pumpkin pie. A group of teens use a Ouija board to contact the dead, with predictably disastrous results.
