ITV has announced a new deal with talk show host Jonathan Ross which will see him stay at the channel at least until the end of 2015. The deal includes two new series of The Jonathan Ross show, as well as a Christmas special for next year

“I’ve been lucky enough to interview some of the biggest stars around on The Jonathan Ross Show,” said Ross, “and I’m delighted that I’ll continue to do so for ITV until at least the end of 2015 with two series booked for the channel for next year.

“This Saturday I have Russell Brand, Lindsay Lohan, Daniel Radcliffe and Rio Ferdinand on the couch and there’s plenty more to come.”

Elaine Bedell, Director of Entertainment and Comedy for ITV, added: “Jonathan is the king of talk shows and a valued member of the ITV family.  He continues to attract the biggest names in showbiz onto his sofa and I am delighted that he will remain on the channel until at least the end of 2015.”

Rosss’ first talk show Friday night with Jonathan Ross ran on BBC1 from 2001 to 2010, with a 3-month hiatus in 2008-9 when he was suspended for leaving lewd messages on the answer phone of Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs. Since 2011, he has presented The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
