X Factor: A celebration of Dermot O’Leary’s dances

Will the 'Dermot Dance' be back tonight? While we wait to find out, let's re-live some of the presenter's best moves...

X Factor host Dermot O’Leary will be back with his ‘Your Saturday night starts right here’ spin tonight as the very first live show of the series kicks off.

The question that’s been on my lips (and hopefully some of yours, too) is whether the long-standing host will also be bringing back the ‘Dermot Dance’.

Remember the ‘Dermot Dance’? He used to come out at the beginning and wow us with a little routine. It pretty much disappeared last year. I started an online campaign to try and get it back. Dermot tweeted me to say I was a “#Troublemaker”…

This year, during the early auditions, I managed to grab Dermot to ask if the dance would indeed be returning. He said I think more about his dancing than he does (definitely) and said he’d have to ask Simon Cowell.

So, while we wait (and hope, hope, hope), here’s a celebration of some of Dermot’s best moves to get us in the mood…

Dermot Shuffle megamix

He bops, he slides, he shuffles, he grooves… he’s a one man dancing machine!

Strictly business

Who can forget when Dermot went all professional and danced with Strictly judge Darcey Bussell at the NTAs? Do forget the trip at the end, though.

Moves like Jagger

From celebrity cameos to a stop in at Coronation Street’s Rovers Return, Dermot’s dances went epic.

Is more on the way?
