It’s also looking like some of the original cast will be reunited. Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush are rumoured to be returning to their roles as Will Turner and Captain Barbossa, while Jack Davenport, who plays charming admiral James Norrington, and Mackenzie Crook, aka dim-witted pirate Ragetti, could also be back for more sea adventures.

Queensland businesses should be rubbing their hands together as we speak, the production is expected to bring in around £62 million and 1,000 jobs to the local area. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be the largest film production the area has ever hosted.

However, fans will have to wait a little longer to see the fifth instalment of the movie franchise; the reported date of release has changed from 2015 to July 7, 2017.
