There’s a brand new poster for Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game – but, sorry Cumber-fans, don’t expect to see anything of Benedict Cumberbatch’s face.
The actor takes centre stage in the latest artwork for the film – released in UK cinemas this November – but he’s far more preoccupied by the complex wiring of his towering Enigma-solving machine than the camera lens in front of him.
The film shows Turing working to solve German encryptions at Bletchley Park before his arrest for homosexual activity in 1952. It received rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month with Cumberbatch’s performance as the computer scientist and codebreaker generating plenty of early Oscars buzz.
The Sherlock actor is joined by Keira Knightley, playing Turing’s close friend and one-time fiancé Joan Clarke alongside a stellar suppporting cast that includes Mark Strong, Matthew Goode, Allen Leech and Rory Kinnear.
The Imitation Game is released in UK cinemas on 14 November. Take a look at the trailer below…
