Cara Delevingne has landed the female lead in new film Paper Towns.
The 22-year-old model, who has walked the catwalk for Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Topshop, is set to play Margo Roth Spiegelman in the big screen adaptation of John Green’s novel.
Delevingne will star opposite Nat Wolff, who appeared in the adaptation of another of Green’s novels The Fault in Our Stars earlier this year.
Paper Towns follows neighbours and childhood friends Quentin Jacobsen and Margo Roth Spiegelman who drift apart until one night Margo recruits Q for a night of revenge and rebellion. The next day Margo disappears and Q is left to find clues as to what’s happened to her.
The film, which is directed by Robot & Frank’s Jake Schreier, is being penned by The Fault in Our Stars screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber as well as produced by Wyck Godgrey and Marty Bowen, who also worked on the young adult tearjerker.
Paper Towns is set for a UK cinema release in August 2015
