Holy concrete wall, Batman!

Gotham star Ben McKenzie has suffered a head injury on the set of the DC Comics Batman prequel.

While filming a fight sequence – on his birthday no less – McKenzie hit a concrete pillar, and ended up with a pretty nasty looking cut on his forehead…

Posting images of his injury on Instagram, McKenzie said: “Happy Birthday to me. Fight sequence gone awry. Don’t ram your head into concrete pillars kids. #gotham”

It sounds as though the unfortunate incident won’t keep him away from the set of Gotham for long though – McKenzie also posted that he’ll be back to work on Monday.

What a trooper, eh?

Gotham, which stars McKenzie as Gotham commissioner-to-be James Gordon, will kick off when a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) sees both his parents gunned down and Gordon is tasked with solving their murders.
