EastEnders spoilers: Davood Ghadami to play new ladies’ man Kush

Walford's "new leading man" will compete with Kat on Bridge Street's market

Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) is to face a big challenge on Bridge Street’s market in the form of ladies’ man Kush – a newcomer with the gift of the gab who sets up in direct competition with her.

Khoroush Kazemi (known as Kush) will be played by Davood Ghadami, whose previous screen include Skins, Doctors and – most recently – Casualty, where he played former nurse Jamie’s love interest Ramin.

Speaking about his signing to EastEnders, Ghadami commented: “I’m so excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders as I’ve been a fan of the show for as long as I can remember. It’s surreal to get to work with these actors that I’ve spent so many evenings watching on television!”

Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins added: “Davood’s a brilliant actor and a proper gentleman. We’ve had Kush in our minds for a while now – a new leading man to spice up the market and set some female hearts fluttering. And it won’t be long before he has one Walford woman firmly in his sights…”

Yet despite the brash exterior, it’ll soon be revealed that Kush has a tragic past from which he’s trying to escape. However, as Kush already knows Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) thanks to him playing on Martin’s football team, it doesn’t look like it’ll be long before that past catches up with him. Viewers can see how it all pans out when Kush makes his debut this autumn.
