Ahead of the TV sci-fi drama event of the year, stars of the show Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman will land in countries all over the world for premieres of Doctor Who season eight opener Deep Breath.
But if you can’t get to South Korea, Australia or Mexico fear not, each stop will be streamed live on the Doctor Who YouTube channel.
Along with the new Doctor and his companion, series showrunner Steven Moffat is also expected to attend every event, with the trio participating in Q&A sessions at each of their exotic locations.
BBC Worldwide are also hoping that fans in the UK and abroad will drum up support for the series through social media and the hashtag #DWWorldTour.
“This Doctor Who global tour isn’t just about the lucky few that manage to get tickets for the events, it’s about connecting with fans all over the world,” explained Amanda Hill, chief brands officer for BBC Worldwide. “Wherever they are. Live-streaming our fan Q&As as well as offering content on all our social platforms will allow everyone to join in the experience and hear from the stars of the show”
