9 reasons you should watch Sharknado 2: The Second One

One film about sharks flying out of tornados was never going to be enough...

Sharknado whipped up an internet storm last year when the straight-to-TV movie landed on Syfy. It quickly became a ‘so bad it’s good’ hit and tonight it returns for more in Sharknado 2: The Second One.

More flying killer sharks ripping people’s heads off, more Tara Reid screaming, more Ian Ziering trying to save the day…

If you missed the 2:10am live simulcast with the US (there’s dedication and then there’s early), here’s why you should tune in at 9:00pm tonight…

You get to hear the Ballad of Sharknado more than once. If you’ve not heard it already, please enjoy.

There’s not one, but two, backstories of the romantic kind added in. Because of course, killer sharks can wait when there are affairs of the heart to discuss.

People continue to die and no one seems to notice. But that’s probably because they’ll crawl back out of a shark in Sharknado 3.

There are excellent cameos. Taxi’s Judd Hirsch is a taxi driver, Airplane!’s Robert Hays is a pilot…

Weather reporters casually discuss the falling of sharks in inches like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

A whole big thing happens with Tara Reid’s hand, which I can’t talk about, but for now I’ll just say, TARA REID’S HAND!

There’s an extra scene at the end of the credits, which probably isn’t worth waiting for. But you’re going to now, aren’t you?

And of course, you’ll come away with some excellent new knowledge about sharks
