Game of Thrones star Michelle Fairley comes back to life in ABC’s Resurrection

The former Game of Thrones actress will star as one of the returned in the show's second series

Game of Thrones’ Catelyn Stark has been resurrected, but not the way you might think…

Michelle Fairley, who played the leading Stark lady in the HBO fantasy until (spoiler!) something very bad happened in season 3, is returning to TV in the second series of ABC’s Resurrection.

The supernatural drama, which also stars Omar Epps, does what it says on the tin, following the town of Arcadia, Missouri where residents are thrown into chaos when the dead start coming back to life. (Think an American version of French zombie series The Returned).

Fairley will play the recurring role of Margaret Langston, mother of local sheriff Fred and his brother Henry (played by Kurtwood Smith and Matt Craven). Margaret’s been dead for more than 30 years and is determined to keep her family’s dark past hidden…

Fairley recently starred in Suits, 24: Live Another Day and Jimmy McGovern’s TV movie Common. The second series of Resurrection begins airing in the US on 28th September.
