Milo Ventimiglia won’t return for Heroes reboot

The 36-year-old star, who played Peter Petrelli in the original series, won't star in Heroes Reborn

Peter Petrelli is one Hero who won’t be returning.

Milo Ventimiglia, who played the powerful paramedic in the hit NBC series, has confirmed that he won’t be part of the sci-fi drama when it reboots as Heroes: Reborn later this year.

Responding to a fan’s query, he shared the news on Twitter, saying:

Ventimiglia played Peter, the brother of ambitious politician Nathan, who can absorb and copy other people’s powers.

Heroes ran for four series between 2006 to 2010. The drama, starring Hayden Panettiere, Kristen Bell, Zachary Quinto and Adrian Pasdar, followed a group of ordinary people with superhuman abilities.

The show will return for 13 new episodes in 2015. Original cast member Jack Coleman, who played Noah Bennet, will return, though no other stars have so far announced plans to appear in the reboot.
