The World Cup is ripe fodder for Twitter. Just ask Phil Neville or Thierry Henry's cardigan. But some of the football-themed banter tickling us over this past week has come from an unlikely source... the police.
While much of the force focuses it social media output solely on serious matters, a few choice Twitter accounts have taken a more humorous approach to their coverage of the tournament.
First prize goes to the South Warwickshire division (@SWarksCops) who took full advantage of poor Phil's duff commentary...
The former Manchester United and England defender was also on the receiving end of Preston North End Football Intel Unit's sharp tongue...
