The World Cup is ripe fodder for Twitter. Just ask Phil Neville or Thierry Henry's cardigan. But some of the football-themed banter tickling us over this past week has come from an unlikely source... the police.

While much of the force focuses it social media output solely on serious matters, a few choice Twitter accounts have taken a more humorous approach to their coverage of the tournament.
