Britain’s Got Talent has gone live. Yes, live people. It’s the semi-finals and now we as viewers can watch and vote.
Last night was the first of the bunch with boy band Collabro and illusionist Darcy Oake the first two acts through to the final.
Not too many surprised faces at the result, with only impressionist Jon Clegg considered any sort of competition.
But while there was plenty going on on stage (David Walliams’s Golden Buzzer act Christian singing Raining Men was one such attraction), off stage the judges were keeping us up to date with their antics via the wonderful world of Twitter.
Here’s the view from the judges’ table…
Simon was excited
Amanda was excited
Alesha was excited
David was excited a whole day before…
Of course the Oscar-style selfie thing happened. It’s like the totally hip thing to do now, yah?
Amanda gave us a peek into her make up preparations
Simon Cowell, just to hammer the point home, repeated his frank comments from the show on Twitter
Amanda took a second to catch a cheeky snap of the audience
David Walliams tried to drum up support for his Golden Buzzer act
The secret life of Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern was revealed. It’s important. Top secret important.
Back to business and David Walliams found himself on the receiving end of a Dixon Dousing after saying she had made a career out of miming
Just a joke, just a joke said Mr Walliams…
Before plotting his revenge.
Normality and the Walliams-Cowell bromance soon resumed
BGT seemed like it needed a little lie down
So did hosts Ant and Dec
Some more selfie action, this time Cowell with musical guest Ella Henderson of X Factor fame
And eventually the two finalists were chosen
Deep breath everybody, deep breath. There’s a whole week to go…
