Wallander, Museums at Night, Britain’s Got Talent – best TV tonight

It's Saturday and summer is finally here, but forget that. Stay in and watch these great shows instead

Wallander, 9pm BBC4

The glowering grandaddy of Scandinavian crime drama is back for a final run of six episodes. Wallander has had many faces but it’s great to see Krister Henriksson step back into the role to give the character a proper send-off. The first episode adapts the book The Troubled Man, and goes deep into relations within the Wallander family.

Museums at Night, 7pm BBC2

Forget Ben Stiller (if you can) this has nothing to do with his series of family movies. Ricky Gervais will not be making an appearance, nor animated dinosaurs, but this festival of museums staying open late is no less fun. If you’ve ever wanted to boogie to a silent disco in the National Museum of Scotland, your chance has come at last.

Britain’s Got Talent, 7.30pm ITV

Sometimes you feel like there should be a question mark at the end of the title, but there is no doubt that BGT has found some amazing acts this year. Today is the last batch of auditions so from this point it should be all wheat, no chaff. Who will be joining Paddy, Nico and (shudder) Christian the Sex Bomb in the live rounds?
