Mission: Impossible 5 to be filmed in London

Action man Tom Cruise will reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the English capital ahead of the movie’s 2015 release

The fifth movie in the action-packed franchise Mission Impossible will reportedly be shot in and around London with Tom Cruise, including scenes on The Mall, the Thames and the Emirates Cable Cars.

This is not the first time a Mission Impossible movie has filmed in London; agent Ethan Hunt was seen in the capital in the first film in the series and scenes include Tower Bridge, the South Bank and The Old County Hall in Lambeth. Other Mission Impossible movies have been shot in exotic locations, including Prague in the Czech Republic, Utah in the States, Sydney in Australia, Mumbai in India and Dubai in the UAE.

Sean of the Dead actor Simon Pegg will also be starring in the new movie, and Jeremy Lee Renne (The Hurt Locker), Paula Patton (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) are rumoured to be in talks for parts in the film.

Tom Cruise releases Edge of Tomorrow next month, where he stars alongside The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt.
