Doctor Who: Farewell to Matt Smith – 5:00pm, Watch
Most of us thought we’d said farewell to Matt Smith and his delightful Doctor over Christmas, but this tardy retrospective caps a day of reruns on Watch. It’s a BBC America production, and US fans reveal how Matt gained a huge following in their country, and David Tennant joins him on the set of the anniversary special to compare Doctors’ notes.
Unreported World – 7:30pm, Channel 4
In the face of increased religious extremism, Iraq’s only music and ballet school struggles to survive. Reporter Evan Williams follows the stories of a would-be ballet dancer and a young pianist who can never discuss what they do and have little hopes of artistic careers.
Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis – 8:00pm, ITV
Searching out the best breaks, the actor meets eccentrics trying to fly off Worthing’s historic pier in crazy costumes, before he’s given the honour of starting the British Lawnmower Racing championships in Billingshurst. Then it’s off to Bodiam Castle for a battle re-enactment.
Natural World: Honey Badgers – 9:00pm, BBC2
Although barely a foot tall, the honey badger has a reputation for attacking just about anything from snakes to lions. In South Africa, an eager scientist, a tenacious beekeeper and a patient conservationist all have a soft sport for these so-called “bad boys” of the animal kingdom, and they all want to know if the honey badger’s bit real is as big as its hype.
The Trip to Italy – 10:00pm, BBC2

Perhaps that helps things take a mournful turn, as he and travelling companion Steve Coogan reflect on Shelley’s funeral pyre and death generally.
