Kevin Bacon reenacts famous scenes to celebrate 30 years of Footloose

The actor proves he's still got it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Kevin Bacon has developed quite an acting career since his break-out role as city slicker Ren McCormack in Footloose. He’s won a Golden Globe, three Screen Actors Guild awards and is currently starring in the hit US television thriller The Following.

But even 30 years after the release of Footloose, Bacon can’t escape the foot-tapping, hip-shaking role that made him famous. In fact, he just proved he’s still got the same dancing moves during an appearance last Friday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

While introducing Bacon for an interview, Fallon made a proclamation that dancing had been banned from the show, clearly parodying the plot line of Footloose.

The show then cuts to a furious Bacon in the dressing room who proceeds to perform an almost move-for-move rendition of his famous solo dance scene in the movie. He dramatically bounds through the halls of the NBC studios before magically changing into a suit to dance to the Kenny Loggins Footloose theme.
