Latest trailer for 24: Live Another Day hints at new plot details

Kiefer Sutherland returns as Jack Bauer in the upcoming London-based series set four years on and featuring a threat to the life of the US president

Last month a teaser for 24: Live Another Day gave us our first glimpse of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) staggering through the streets of London following an almighty explosion, but very little else… 


This morning another 30-second trailer has landed featuring precious new details of what exactly Bauer will be fighting to prevent this time around. The answer? A terrorist attack on the US president on foreign soil which, if executed, could precipitate a “world war”, according to our favourite secret agent.

But Jack has problems of his own to contend with. He’s on the run, hunted down by a CIA team and, in particular, White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau (Tate Donovan) who is seen labelling Bauer a “traitor and a psychopath”.

Written by David Fury (Lost) and Howard Gordon (Homeland) and set and shot entirely in the British capital, Live Another Day marks the first time Jack Bauer has been seen on our screens since the show ended back in 2010 after eight nail-biting series.

“The clock starts ticking” on the event series (a shortened twelve-episode run) this May with a UK broadcast on Sky1 expected shortly afterwards…
